FAQ About Our Oregon Coast Pet Friendly Lodging

Q. Do you have pet friendly units?
A. Yes, all 11 of our units now allow pets.

Q. Where's the nearest grocery store?
A. Safeway and Fred Meyer are 8 miles south in Newport.

Q. Are there golf courses nearby?
A. Yes, Agate Beach golf coarse is 4 miles south. See the area section for details.

Q. Do you have phones in the chalets?
A. No. People come here to get away from them.

Q. How far in advance should I make reservations?
A. We fill up fast in the summer. Plan on reserving for summer before May if possible.

Q. Do your units have TV's or VCR's or DVD's?
A. Yes, all three. We have movies available in the office at no charge also.

Q. Do your units have Internet access?
A. Yes, all units have WiFi Internet access at no charge.

Q. Do you have barbeques?
A. Yes. We have two stationary barbeques with picnic tables in the park. We also have two fire pits in the park. We supply the wood.

Q. Are fires allowed on the beach?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you have special rates in the winter?
A. Yes. Please call for prices.

Q. Are the Chalets on the beach?
A. The Chalets sit on on bluff overlooking the beach. We have a private trail that takes you down to the beach.

Q. How long is the walk to the beach? Is it steep?
A. The trail to the beach is about a 5 minute walk. It is fairly steep at the top but most people have no trouble walking it.

Q. Does Alpine Chalets have stay over service?
A. The housekeepers will not enter your chalet during your stay unless requested. If you would like housekeeping service during your stay please make arrangements in advance in the office. Towels and linens can be exchanged in the office.

Q. Do you have a minimum night stay requirement?
A. 2 night minimum during the summer. 2 night minimum on all major holidays and spring break. 3 night minimum on Thanksgiving.

Q. Do we need to bring any cooking utensils or dishes?
A. No, the kitchens are fully equipped. Just bring the food and the cook.
